Jotform alternative: a full comparison
Jotform and Deoochform side by side: the same form, submission and storage limits at every tier, for about a third of the price. Plus where Jotform is still the better product.
By the Deoochform team
Jotform is the largest form builder there is: more than 20 years old, 40 million users, and a catalogue of over 20,000 templates. It is also the most expensive of the mainstream options once you leave the free plan. Deoochform is built on the same quota ladder at roughly a third of the price, which makes this an unusually clean comparison: the limits line up almost exactly, so what is left to compare is price and breadth.
Both products name their tiers Bronze, Silver and Gold. Every mention below says which company's tier it means.
The free plans
| Jotform Starter | Deoochform Free | |
|---|---|---|
| Forms | 5 | 5 |
| Submissions | 100 per month | 100 in total, never resets |
| Storage | 100 MB | 100 MB |
| Monthly form views | 10,000 | 10,000 |
| Fields per form | 100 | No stated cap |
| Branding on forms | Yes, removed on paid plans | Yes, removed on paid plans |
| MCP connector | Included | Included |
On the free tier Jotform is straightforwardly the better deal, and it is worth saying so plainly. 100 submissions a month is a form you can leave running. 100 submissions in total is a trial. If you want to collect responses indefinitely without paying, that is Jotform, not Deoochform.
The paid tiers, side by side
This is the whole argument. The quotas are the same at every level; only the price moves.
| Limits | Jotform | Deoochform |
|---|---|---|
| 25 forms, 1,000 monthly submissions, 1 GB | Bronze, €39/mo (€34 billed yearly) | Bronze, €12/mo (€10 billed yearly) |
| 50 forms, 2,500 monthly submissions, 10 GB | Silver, €49/mo (€39 billed yearly) | Silver, €22/mo (€18 billed yearly) |
| 100 forms, 10,000 monthly submissions, 100 GB | Gold, €129/mo (€99 billed yearly) | Gold, €45/mo (€36 billed yearly) |
Read the middle row twice. Both plans give you 50 forms, 2,500 submissions a month and 10 GB. One costs €49 a month and the other €22. Over a year, billed annually, that is €468 against €216.
On AI access, the two are level
Jotform runs a first party MCP server at mcp.jotform.com, available from the free plan upward, OAuth 2.0 only, with bearer tokens explicitly unsupported. Connect it to Claude or ChatGPT and the assistant can create forms, clone them, edit fields and read submissions.
Deoochform ships the same thing, the same way. If you have read a comparison claiming that Jotform cannot be reached from an AI assistant without a third party automation layer, it is out of date. Pick between these two on price and on catalogue, not on this.
Where Jotform is the better fit
- You want a template that already exists. 20,000 against 110 is not a gap that argument closes. For anything specialised, Jotform probably already has the form.
- You need a free plan that keeps running. 100 submissions a month beats 100 in total, and it is the single clearest win on this page.
- You need more than forms. Jotform sells e-signature, tables, apps, approval workflows, PDF editing and AI agents as one suite. Deoochform makes forms and invitations.
- Your integration is unusual. Jotform lists over a thousand integration pages. Deoochform has nine connectors.
- You have compliance requirements. HIPAA features, enterprise SSO, dedicated support and SLAs are long established there.
Where Deoochform is the better fit
- The same limits for about a third of the money. The table above is the reason this page exists.
- Payment fields on every plan. Product, subscription and donation fields are included from the free tier.
- Conditional logic on every plan. Included from the free tier rather than gated behind an upgrade.
- Building a form by describing it. Say what you want and the form is built, rather than assembled field by field.
- A smaller product. This is a real advantage for some people. Jotform is a suite with two decades of surface area on it. If all you want is forms, there is less to learn here.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Jotform free?
- Yes. The Starter plan costs nothing and includes 5 forms, 100 submissions a month, 100 MB of storage and 10,000 monthly form views. Every feature is switched on, but forms carry Jotform branding until you pay. Deoochform's free plan matches it on forms, storage and views, and is more restrictive on submissions: 100 in total rather than 100 a month.
- How much does Jotform cost?
- Bronze is €39 a month, Silver €49 and Gold €129, billed monthly. Billed annually those become €34, €39 and €99 a month. Enterprise is quoted rather than listed. Deoochform's equivalent tiers carry the same limits at €12, €22 and €45 a month.
- What is the cheapest alternative to Jotform with the same limits?
- Deoochform's tiers were built on the same quota ladder Jotform uses, so the comparison is unusually direct: 25 forms and 1,000 monthly submissions costs €39 a month at Jotform and €12 at Deoochform. 50 forms and 2,500 submissions is €49 against €22. 100 forms and 10,000 submissions is €129 against €45.
- Does Jotform work with Claude and ChatGPT?
- Yes. Jotform runs a first party MCP server at mcp.jotform.com, available from the free plan up, using OAuth 2.0 with no bearer tokens. An assistant connected to it can create, edit and manage forms in natural language. This is one of the few places where the two products are genuinely level: Deoochform ships the same capability the same way, so it is not a reason to pick either one.
- Does Jotform have more templates than Deoochform?
- By a very large margin. Jotform advertises more than 20,000 form templates; Deoochform carries a much smaller library, written and checked by hand. If your starting point is finding a ready made form for an unusual purpose, Jotform is the better library by two orders of magnitude.
