One question at a time forms

Show one question per screen instead of a long page of boxes. People answer, press Next, and see how far they have left to go.

5 forms and 100 responses on the free plan. No card required.

How it works

  1. Build the form

Start from a template, add questions by hand, or describe the form and let the AI builder write it. Every question type works, including file upload, signature and payment.

  2. Switch the layout

Open Design, then Layout, and pick one question at a time. Section headings ride along with the question after them, so nobody lands on a screen with nothing to answer.

  3. Publish and share

Share the link, embed it on your site, or print the QR code. Respondents need no account and it works the same on a phone as on a laptop.

What you get

  • One question per screen, with a progress bar along the top
  • Back and Next buttons, and Enter moves on from a text answer
  • Each answer is checked before moving on, so errors never pile up at the end
  • Conditional logic, so questions that do not apply are skipped
  • Answer piping, to quote an earlier answer back in a later question
  • Switch back to a classic single page form at any time, with nothing lost

Questions

What is a conversational form?
A form that asks one question at a time, the way a person would in conversation, instead of showing every field on one long page. It suits longer or more personal forms, where a wall of boxes puts people off before they start.
Is it free?
Yes. The one question at a time layout is on every plan, including the free one with 5 forms and 100 submissions. No card is asked for.
Can I use conditional logic with it?
Yes. Show and hide rules work as usual, and a question that is hidden simply never gets a screen. Rules that jump to a page break do not apply here, because every question is already its own page.
Can I change an existing form to one question at a time?
Yes. Open the form, go to Design, then Layout, and switch it. Your questions, logic and responses stay exactly as they were, and you can switch back whenever you like.
