Google Calendar
Appointment fields skip times you're busy, and bookings land on your calendar.
What it does
- Checks your primary Google Calendar's free/busy times before offering a slot, so nobody books over the meeting you already have.
- Adds a booked appointment straight to your calendar the moment a respondent submits it, no copying it across by hand.
- Works across every appointment field on every form you own. Connect once, not per form.
- Reads busy and free blocks only. Event titles, guests, locations and notes are never sent to us.
Who it's for
Clinics and practices
Patients book a real slot in surgery hours instead of requesting a rough time somebody rings back to confirm.
Consultants and agencies
A prospect books a discovery call from your website and it is on your calendar before you have read the enquiry.
Salons, studios and trades
Same-day bookings stop double-booking the chair, the room or the van, because the form can see what is already in the diary.
Recruiters and tutors
One link to a shortlist or a whole cohort, and everyone picks a slot you are genuinely free for.
What you need
A Deoochform account, a Google account, and a form with an appointment field on it. Free plans included.
How to connect it
- 1
Open Settings → Integrations and hit Connect next to Google Calendar.
- 2
Approve the Google consent screen. You're sent straight back to Settings → Integrations.
- 3
Add an appointment field to a form and set the days, hours and slot length you work.
- 4
Publish it. Slots you're busy for disappear, and each booking appears on your calendar.
Templates that use it
Each of these ships with the field already on it, start from one and it works the moment Google Calendar is connected.
Consultation Booking Form
Let a prospect book a call in one step. They pick a slot from your real availability, and tell you what they need before you dial in.
Doctor Appointment Booking
Patients book a real slot in surgery hours and describe the problem first, so the right length of appointment is set aside.
Interview Scheduling Form
Send this to a shortlisted candidate and stop the email tennis. They pick an interview slot you are actually free for.
Coaching Session Booking
Clients book their next session and set the focus for it, so the hour starts on the work rather than on the small talk.
Office Hours Booking Form
One link for the whole cohort. Students book a slot in your office hours and say what they are stuck on, so you can prepare.
Legal Consultation Booking
Book an initial consultation and run the conflict check in the same form, so whoever takes the matter opens the file already briefed.
Questions
Can Deoochform read my calendar events?
No. We use Google's free/busy API, which returns only the start and end times of blocks you are busy for. Event titles, descriptions, guests, attachments and locations are never sent to us and are not stored anywhere.
Which calendar does it check?
The primary calendar on the Google account you connect. Anything on that calendar, including events other people invited you to and accepted on your behalf, counts as busy, so those times are not offered.
What happens when someone books?
The response is recorded as normal, and we create an event on your primary calendar for the slot with the respondent's answers in the description. The slot also stops being offered to anyone else on that form.
Do I have to connect Calendar for appointment fields to work?
No. Without it, an appointment field still offers your configured days, hours and slot lengths, and still stops two people booking the same slot on that form. Connecting Calendar adds the other half: it also skips times taken by anything else in your day, and writes the booking into your calendar.
Is this the same connection as Google Sheets?
It is one Google account with two separate permissions. You can connect either on its own, and adding the second does not disturb the first. Disconnecting, though, disconnects the Google account, so it stops both.
How do I revoke access?
Hit Disconnect in Settings → Integrations, or remove Deoochform from your Google account's third-party access page. Either takes effect immediately: we can no longer read busy times or create events.
Does it work across timezones?
Yes. You set the timezone your availability is written in, and respondents see slots in their own browser's timezone, so nobody has to do the arithmetic.
